Landscape Lighting Service in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Evergreen Contracting & Irrigation installs landscape lighting for homes in Lebanon. This is a real city, with over 26,000 people packed into four square miles. Lots are small, neighbors are close, and there is already a lot of light around. All of that shapes the plan. Free estimates arrive within a week, and repairs are scheduled in 1 to 2 weeks.

Behind Every Lebanon Installation

Evergreen Contracting & Irrigation has worked across Central PA since 2001. The crew brings more than 60 years of combined experience to the job. We read the property first, because the house and the block decide what is possible. Handled well, the building holds its shape and the way in stops being a guess. Estimates are free and reach you inside a week. Repairs are booked in 1 to 2 weeks.

Steitztown to County Seat

George Steitz laid this place out in 1740 and called it Steitztown. People had already been settling the valley since about 1720. It became a borough in 1821 and took its city charter in 1885.

Industry came early here. Michter’s was distilling along Snitz Creek from 1753. The Union Canal Tunnel west of town went through in the 1820s and now carries National Historic Landmark status. Very little of that history sits far from where people live today. The city grew up around all of it.

What the Work Delivers

On a tight city lot the gains show up fast. Every foot of the property is close enough to matter. Nothing on the way in should have to be found by feel. Here is what the work covers:

  • A front that reads properly from the sidewalk at night
  • No corner of the lot left as a dark pocket
  • Firm footing on steps, walks, and the driveway
  • Outdoor space that still works after sunset
  • Brick, stone, and planting that keep their detail

Irrigation is our other trade. Both systems go on one plan, and one crew knows every run in the ground.

The Traffic Signal on Your Corner

Corner properties in a city often sit within fifty feet of a signal. It runs all night whether anyone is at the intersection or not. Red, then green, then red again, washing across the front of the house.

That is a moving colored light source, and it fights anything warm on the facade. We handle it by keeping your own light low and close to the wall. Tight beams held near the surface stay readable even while the signal cycles. Anything broad and soft simply disappears into it.

A House With More Than One Door

City housing stock is full of properties with two ways in. A converted twin, an apartment downstairs, an in-law entrance around the side. The formal front door gets all the attention and the other one gets none.

That second entrance is usually the one being used at eleven at night. It also tends to sit down a narrow passage with the worst footing on the property. We light it as a proper entrance rather than an afterthought. Tenants and family should not be arriving in the dark while the front door glows.

Overlooked From Upstairs Next Door

On a block this tight, your yard is visible from several second floor windows. People think about the neighbors at ground level and forget the ones looking down.

Anything aimed upward reads completely differently from above. A tree uplight that looks fine from your own patio can be a bright spot in somebody’s bedroom. We check the plan from those upper sightlines as well as from the ground. Shields and tighter beams handle most of it without costing you the effect.

Cable That Stays on Your Own Ground

The shortest route between two points on a narrow lot sometimes runs across the property line. It is tempting and it is a bad idea.

Cable on someone else’s ground becomes their problem the day they dig, plant, or sell. We take the long way around instead. Every run stays inside your own boundary, even where it costs extra wire. The same goes for anything mounted on a shared wall or fence. Wire is cheap next to the conversation that follows.

Seeing It Before You Buy It

Nobody should have to imagine the result from a drawing. On anything larger than a couple of fixtures, we can set up a temporary mock-up on site.

That means standing a few units in the actual positions after dark and looking at it together. You see the aim, the spread, and the brightness before a single cable goes in the ground. Changes at that stage cost nothing. Changes after installation cost time and money, and they are far harder to talk yourself into.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a traffic light right outside. Does that matter?

It does, more than a streetlight would. A signal is a moving colored source, cycling between red and green all night long.

Anything soft and broad on your facade gets swallowed by that. We go the other way and keep your light low, tight, and close to the wall. A beam held against a surface still reads clearly while the signal changes behind it. Fighting it with more output never works. You end up with a bright house and a signal that still wins.

We have an apartment downstairs. Can that entrance be lit?

It should be, and it often matters more than the front door. Second entrances tend to sit down a side passage with uneven footing. They are also the ones used late at night.

We treat it as a real entrance rather than a service door. That usually means a small shielded unit above or beside it, plus something low along the path in. Nothing spills into a window on either side. On a lot this narrow that matters as much as the light itself.

Can we see what it will look like first?

On most projects, yes. We can stand temporary fixtures in the actual positions after dark. You judge the aim and the brightness yourself. Changing your mind at that point costs nothing.

Our lot is tiny. Is it worth doing?

Small lots often finish better than large ones, because every fixture has a clear purpose. You can see the range in our low voltage work across the county.

How quickly do repairs happen?

Inside 1 to 2 weeks. Most faults come back to a connection, a knocked fixture, or a lamp at the end of its life. Our repair team carries the common parts with them.
